Scars of Mirrodin Block Draft June 18th!

Hey guys!

Our next scheduled event will be a Scars of Mirrodin Block draft on June 18th.

Entry fee is $8.25. That will get you 1 pack each of Scars of Mirrodin, Mirrodin Beseiged, and New Phyrexia.

Unlike drafts previous to this, you do not start with the first set in the block and work forward. INSTEAD, start with the last set in the block and work backward. What this means is the draft order will really be New Phyrexia, Mirrodin Beseiged, and Scars of Mirrodin.

Our regular draft rules hold true. For newer players, what that usually means is that Rares and Foils we draft end up in the prize pool with one exception: As you open your packs, note any Rares and Foils in your packs. Before we pick from the Rares/Foils in the prize pool, each player will be asked if they want to keep a Rare/Foil card from the packs they opened. Anyone choosing not to "reserve" a Rare/Foil will, in finishing order, get first crack at what's left on the table until everyone has 1 card. Then, in finishing order from winner down to last place, everyone will get to pick 1 card per time around the finishing order until all cards are picked.


This is a bit of an experiment. If all goes well, we'll do more drafts. So if you want to draft more, show up and participate in our Scars-Beseiged-New Phyrexia draft in two weeks!
